Djifa Richards is a Licensed Physician Assistant, trained at Emory University School of Medicine, where she graduated with a Masters in Medical Science.  She practices Pediatric medicine part-time and is also a Holistically-trained Labor Doula and Owner/Founder of A Womban’s Place, founded in 2013.  After unofficially practicing as a Doula for over 20 years, Djifa was inspired to create a Birth Support service that encompassed educational workshops, offered various prenatal services and encouraged holistic approaches to the birthing process.  Dedicated to the belief of trusting birth and life as a whole, she birthed A Womban’s Place, LLC in 2013.  As a mother of 3, who had a natural VBAC after a Cesarean for twins, Djifa is committed to supporting women to use their strengths to maneuver the birthing process.  She is passionate about her work with women and imbuing them with the necessary tools to achieve their fullest potential on the road to motherhood.  As a womb wellness advocate, Djifa created The Womb Collective dedicated to offering holistic integrative care to women and their wombs.  She believes strongly in being nurtured by her experiences and reciprocating the same and looks forward to many more years of growing and evolving.

Stephanie Sylverin, LMT, CPT-NASM

Massage Specialist

Stephanie Sylverin is a licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), and a Women’s Wellness Advocate. She is Certified in Fertility, Pregnancy, Labor and Postpartum Massage trained by Claire Miller of Nurturing the Mother.

As a mother of four through her own birth experiences she recognized the need for loving support through the unmedicated, natural childbirth process, she began working with doulas to provide intuitive and relaxing massage for pregnant and laboring women as a birth worker. Blending the mind-body elements of mindfulness with wellness, Stephanie established the company, The Art of Wellness LLC, in 2020. The company provides mobile massage services to individuals and companies including City of Atlanta and City of Conyers, as well as healing therapy in a variety of art forms.

Dr. LaKendra Fulbright, DC, MS

Chiropractor

Dr. LaKendra Fulbright has a passion for helping people live a healthier, happier, and pain-free life specifically those in minority and under-served areas. Her educational background is in Exercise Physiology, having achieved both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the subject. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri. She uses her knowledge of how the body works to help people achieve their health goals. Since beginning practice as a chiropractor in 2011, she has helped thousands of people from around the world achieve better health. Dr. Fulbright resides in Stonecrest with her husband and two children, both of whose births were doula-supported. Dr. Fulbright enjoys treating mothers, athletes, pregnant women, and children. She is a member of the American Black Chiropractic Association and is seeking to attain Webster certification.

Tamara Hunter, APC, DMT

Mental Health Therapist

Tamara Hunter is an Associate Professional Counselor specializing in Reproductive and Perinatal mental health, Dance/Movement Therapist, Certified School Counselor in the state of Georgia, and Certified Early Childhood Educator in the state of Georgia. Tamara earned a M.S. degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute, M.A. degree in School Counseling and B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University.

Her personal experience with infertility, reproductive loss, profound loss and grief, postpartum anxiety & depression led Tamara to advocate, educate and support women & families. She is a perinatal trained therapist working with clients experiencing infertility, perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, reproductive and infant loss, still birth, birth trauma, and women’s issues. Tamara is passionate about helping others identify inner strengths to support their healing process.  She utilizes, encouragement, humor, person-centered, holistic approaches as well as therapeutic skills of empathy and attunement, to provide a safe space for clients to engage in, and manage, their healing journeys.

Zaire Sabb, RN, CPM

Herbalist

Zaire Sabb; Mother, Healer, Reproductive Rights Activist, Advanced Doula, Student Midwife, Herbalist and child of Ifa. This native Floridian has dedicated her life to healing through training in both traditional western healing modalities as a nurse and ancient ancestral healing as a priestess of Ifa/Orisha. This mother of two is committed to helping women not only find their voice but to reclaim it. She works to integrate plant based medicine, allopathic and spiritual medicine in order to re-balance the womb, heart and spirit. Her professional history involves being a Critical Care RN specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Transplants as well as a clinical researcher for the FDA, and is a clinical educator for new RN’s. She also has participated in medical missionary work in 4 different countries. Zaire is also a birth assistant and student midwife with a focus on complicated/ high risk pregnancies, where her passion and training as an herbalist comes full circle. Herbal studies include training and apprenticeship with Patricia Kristi Howell of Botanologos, Popoola Bankola Adenkunle at Ceiba Wellnes Center in Nigeria, and with Chief Adsenia Olatunji- Aresa with the International Green Circle in Ibandan, Nigeria. Zaire has also participated in various birth, wellness and herbal workshops domestically and abroad.
